This grief group uses the restorative retelling model. The group is for adult males unable to adjust to the unnatural dying of a close friend or family member because of the trauma and separation distress. The group exits to retell and re-imagine trauma in a restorative manner, bringing order, and meaning around the traumatic experience, reestablishing a vital complete image of deceased so that clients can reengage life through and beyond the violent death providing a beginning, middle and end to their deceased story.
