Amy Lazier is a masters level, pre-licensed professional therapist and a practicing drama therapist. Amy graduated from Lesley University with her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a specialization in Drama Therapy. Specializing in drama therapy, a common question arises, “Do I have to be an actor to seek treatment?” The answer is, “No!” Drama therapy provides a unique therapeutic lens to elicit change in clients. Drama therapy is appropriate for anyone seeking therapy, especially those wanting to engage in an arts-based, embodied approach.
Amy invites her clients to share their story, utilize metaphor, think about their roles in their lives, be an interactive part of the process, and be willing to find meaningful change.
