Felicia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Family Social Science, from the University of Minnesota. She is a Board Approved Supervisor through the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She provides supervision to Pre-Licensed Clinicians seeking licensure as a MFT, LPC and LPCC in MN.

Felicia is intensively trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis. She also uses Cognitive, Existential, Behavioral, Experiential, Exposure Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches. She has a passion for trauma-related work and couples’ therapy. Felicia is a Gottman Level I Trained Clinician and is also EAGALA Certified.
Felicia believes that each person is unique and strives to cater her therapeutic approach to best fit the needs of each client. She believes that the relationship between therapist and client is the catalyst to change and finds it essential that each client feels validated. With the support of a therapist, clients may discover new insights and make changes to reach their goals. She tries to balance acceptance and change in therapy, encouraging growth through validation.
Felicia has worked in the mental health field since 2007. She spent time in a variety of settings, including working with families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders in the home, school, and community environments, working with adults and adolescents experiencing psychiatric crises in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Units of a hospital, and working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, and family therapy in outpatient clinic settings. She is the Clinic Director of Theraplace, a private practice outpatient clinic in rural Minnesota. She provides in-person and telehealth to clients throughout Minnesota.
