I am a clinical social worker, Interfaith Minister having served in Presbyterian, Roman Catholic and other ecumenical settings. I am licensed both in Maryland and West Virginia providing psychotherapy. I am also certified as a
Life/Leadership/Wellness Coach and Consultant and Daring Way™ Facilitator which is based on the research of Brené Brown, Ph.D.  I  utilizes psychotherapy modalities such as reflective and cognitive based therapies to enhanced clients’ emotional, physical and spiritual well-being so that they can lead more whole, authentic and creative lives. I holds when people embrace their well-being they lead more fulfilled, meaningful and prosperous lives. He is a workshop facilitator and can co-create workshops to meet individual, organizations, and spiritual community’s growth needs. These include themes of: overcoming shame/guilt to resilience, identifying and designing life mission/purpose, overcoming mood disorders, men’s growth, Gay/Lesbian issues, couples’ growth. Whether working with an individual, couple’s relationship issues, or with a group, he seeks to create a welcoming, safe, engaging environment – welcoming a full range of emotions of tears to humor.

Grief is the immediate loss of someone dear and loved, it is also the grief of past shared experiences and the loss of all the futures yet to be. In the words of the poet John O’Donough: Death is the “goodbye without the possibility of anther hello.” Counseling is about being present, hearing the story of the relationship, that person, claiming the gifts and wisdom of that person and relationship and finding a way, though acknowledging the death, embrace life again.

My commitment is to hear you, be present and develop a focus and goals that we will mutually address in our therapy sessions.
