Psychotherapy can help us heal from difficult experiences. I work with people from all walks of life, and specialize in treating grief/loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment difficulties related to life transitions and illness.
I utilize various models of treatment including psychodynamic psychotherapy and evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and more somatically-oriented approaches like EMDR. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach. We are all individuals with distinct needs, cultures, beliefs, and experiences. We face our challenges in unique ways and have different strengths and coping abilities, which I consider when tailoring treatment.
I understand starting therapy can feel daunting. It takes strength and courage to be vulnerable, face the unknown, and explore our innermost thoughts and feelings. For this reason, I prioritize building trust with my clients by creating a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental environment for healing to take place.
