Claudia Coenen is a Certified Grief Counselor in private practice at The Karuna Project in Hudson, NY, offering a variety of techniques with her grieving clients. Using a sensitive, open and compassionate approach, Claudia helps her clients discover their own path back to a sense of wholeness after loss. Through conversation and sharing stories, clients are able to begin to rebuild their world, explore identity and resilience to life fully again.

As a lifelong creative person, Claudia can help you tap into non-verbal ways of expressing your grief, including journaling, somatic awareness and simple meditation and breathing techniques to help with regulating difficult emotions.

Her scope of practice includes those coping with death, anticipatory grief, divorce, terminal illness and other situations where grief is present. She offers individual counseling, couples work and support groups.

Claudia is the author of Shattered by Grief: Picking up the pieces to become WHOLE again and the Karuna Cards, a deck of creative ideas for grief and difficult life transitions.
