Losing a loved one can be devastating, and the effects long lasting. The weeks after a loss can often be taken up by practical arrangements that act as distractions, making it common for the full force of grief to come crashing down several months after the event. For others the immediate feelings are so crippling that nothing pierces the emotional wall. The one certainty is that your experience of grief will be unique, and only you will know when the support of a therapist feels right.
I work with individuals and couples via Zoom or telephone, and face to face in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. My approach is person centred and existential. This means I will work along side you, be guided by what feels right for you, and together we will explore what your loss means to you.
