Services Offered

Emily specializes in Grief Therapy for children and teens who have experienced a recent or past loss of a person, pet, move or other separation. Often, children and teens benefit from counseling to help them process their feelings and find strategies for coping. Children have the tendancy to blame themselves or not fully express their grief out of concern for upsetting a parent or others. Past losses can resurface as children experience another. Children also need to re-grieve earlier life losses as they grow and understand the loss at a deeper level intellectually and emotionally. Emily has experience working with children and teens who have lost a parent due to suicide, chronic illness, and accidents.
