My work centers around helping clients heal the relationship to their emotions. It is not our emotions that cause problems, but our difficulty in honoring, listening, accepting, and releasing our emotions. When we learn how to really listen to our feelings, they become our most trusted counselors.
Mind Body Medicine asserts that self care is the heart of all health care. I assist people to learn how to practice self care, self compassion, and self love, and self forgiveness. I use MBM techniques such as guided imagery & meditation, in addition to energy medicine such as Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping).
I have had over 17 years working with young children and families–I understand the impacts that developmental challenges in children can have on parents. I have worked with young children with neuro-developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders–helping parents and caregivers be more effective while also taking better care of themselves.
