Hi, my name is Mary and I am happy you have found me. If you are reading this, then I applaud you for thinking about taking a step which can lead toward living a more peaceful life, looking at your life and/or relationships you want to enhance and taking action. I believe every story matters and will work to develop a trusting and respectful relationship with you that will empower you and/or your family. Whether it’s healing you are seeking or removing roadblocks to improve yourself, I will work collaboratively with you to learn new skills and strategies to address the issues.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. I’m also a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and have two professional certifications in Trauma and Resilience. I have over 30 years of experience working in counseling setting.
I use an eclectic approach including but not limited to EMDR,Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Self-compassion, Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT) combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Specific Phase Oriented therapeutic approaches when appropriate.
