I am a strong believer that successful therapy is centered around finding a therapist that’s a good fit for you. It can be hard to make steps toward change- whether those big changes or small. However, change can be easier when you set aside space to focus on it and also doing it with someone. I’d love to support you in exploring changes you want to make and figuring out what that might look like for you. My style has been described by clients as supportive, warm, interactive, easy to talk to, direct, nonjudgmental while also being able to utilize humor and creativity in the room. I would love to meet with you so could get to know me and we could discuss your goals and see if you feel like we would be a good fit. If not, I’d be happy to work with you to discuss other options and referrals that would fit your needs.
I have past experiences in both outpatient hospital settings and private practice work in the areas of mood disorders, building family communication, ADHD, behavioral disorders, child academic issues, relationship difficulties, stress management, parenting, anger management, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. I have additional specialized experience working with adolescents and young adults in managing life transitions and building better family relationships along with working with adults experiencing stress or relationship struggles. Overall, I focus both on developing new strengths and skills to effectively manage life’s difficulties in the short term, while gaining insight into reasons behind behaviors to regain the control and understanding of past patterns to facilitate future motivation and autonomy in handling life’s stressors. I look forward to supporting you in making changes and reaching your goals
