I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessment services to individuals in Southeast Ohio.
I have worked in a number of clinical settings, including university-based psychology clinics, medical inpatient units, private practice, and most recently, a VA outpatient medical center delivering psychology services to veterans in their homes. Each of these settings has provided me with opportunities for professional development and personal growth. However, my recent work with veterans has allowed me to hone my skills in behavioral medicine, including coping with chronic pain, improving sleep, quitting tobacco, modifying unhealthy eating patterns, managing chronic illnesses, and reducing the health impacts of stress. I also have a special passion for working with individuals facing life-limiting conditions who may be considering palliative or hospice care, as well as providing support and education to their caregivers. As an outgrowth of this work, I also have substantial experience in the area of grief and bereavement.

My work in the world is to create a safe, open, and non-judgemental environment for others to share their suffering. However, I view my role as not only that of an affirming listener, but also as an active practitioner who can offer tools rooted in science for symptom relief, mindful awareness, self-compassion, and values-based living.
As part of that work, I find that understanding others’ unique lived experiences is essential as we navigate physical, emotional and relational stressors together. In my role as a clinical psychologist, I pair evidence-based practices with the art of witnessing individual stories to help others live out their values in meaningful ways.
I look forward to supporting you on this journey.
