This is an experiential, action-based program with homework assignments that teach participants to take the actions to recover from grief and all kinds of loss, including but not limited to death and divorce. Participants will look at their old beliefs about dealing with loss, what losses have affected their life, and take new actions that will lead to completion of the pain attached to those losses. As a result, participants find that they are able to discover and complete what was left emotionally unfinished due to a death, divorce, or other major losses such as career, health, and loss of trust.

Journey To Healing is a monthly structured small group “Grief and Loss Counseling and Support Program.” Everyone deals with grief differently. It does not matter if you are grieving a loss of a loved one, pet, relationship, home, job or lifestyle, it is emotional suffering. Some recover quickly, while others take their time. Grief is a natural healing process, and there is no “right” way to do it. This program will journey with you as you navigate your way through the grieving process. The goal is not to forget, but to learn to live without. You will grow through grief!
You are not alone!! Bring your entire family to growth through grief. This group meets monthly on the last Wednesday of the month.
The goal of the emotional healing program is to establish a psychologically safe environment to explore the various things that may impact the process of coping and healing. We strive to aid in healing using artistic expression and providing psychoeducation that can be taught to the entire family to promote healthier coping and empower families to advocate for themselves in the various areas that may have been impacted by their experience of loss or traumatic events.

Our support groups provide a place where grieving parents can find comfort and companionship among others who understand. Our groups are facilitated by the H.E.A.R.T.strings team, are free, and open to the public.
The H.E.A.R.T.strings office provides support to families experiencing the death of a baby and the loss of a pregnancy due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, premature delivery, neonatal death, and support following termination due to problems with the baby or the mother. We hope to offer you comfort as you embark on your journey towards healing.

This 2 day, Day Camp is designed for children ages 8-12 who are grieving the death of their special person. Camp Forget Me Not is tailored to provide children with education and skills for adopting healthy behaviors to cope with their pain in a constructive manner. We do this by engaging the children in a variety of traditional camp activities and specialized grief activities through the provision of art, education, and games. Camp activities are effective in providing opportunities for children to share their stories, explore and express grief, connect with peers, and engage in memorializing and integrating their loss into their lives. All activities are supervised by a professional grief counselor and trained volunteers. Campers are required to attend both days of camp.
