Who I Am & Why I Can Help
First and foremost, I’m someone who found a soulmate in an animal. I believe deeply in the human-animal connection and have been privileged to experience that rare, unconditional bond myself. I also know the heartbreak that follows when that bond is broken. I’ve lived through the pain of pet loss, and it’s what inspired me to help others through theirs.
Professionally, I am a master’s-level registered social worker (MSW, RSW) with more than 20 years of counselling experience, a certified Pet-Loss Grief Support Specialist, and a certified Grief Educator. My work combines both professional training and personal understanding to provide compassionate, specialized support for those grieving the loss, or anticipated loss, of an animal companion.
