Do you find yourself feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or sad? Do you feel like others either don’t understand what you’ve been through or don’t want to talk about it? Perhaps you don’t feel the freedom to talk about it, which can leave you feeling isolated, lonely, and wondering how you will ever be able to move forward. As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand that your body has self-healing capacities, but to access them, you have to give your body what it needs to heal. When you stay in a constant state of alert or shutdown, it has a detrimental impact on your brain and body. The good news is change is possible!
I specialize in grief, loss, and trauma, helping adult women 21 and older to get on a healing path. I teach you tools that you can carry with you for a lifetime. I help you to honor that which was lost, reclaim parts of yourself that have been hidden, and rebuild a healthy life in a way that allows you to walk your unique journey.
I believe in the power of the counseling relationship as it can serve as a catalyst for individual insight, progressive change, and overall mental health wellness. I offer counseling from a Christian perspective if the client requests it, but also offer a judgment-free space for those who seek professional counseling. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is also offered. I seek to help clients grow not only relationally (with themselves and others), but emotionally and spiritually too.
