Archimedes Bibiano has been studying and practicing meditation for over 35 years, twenty of which have been dedicated to teaching classes, workshops, and seminars at universities, schools, hospitals, museums, corporations, and yoga and meditation centers in the United States and Latin America.

Since 2004 Archimedes Bibiano has been teaching mindfulness meditation and adaptive yoga to hospitalized children and their families, to nurses, physicians, and clinical researchers at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, and to medical students, interns, fellows, and faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Based in New York City, Archimedes teaches at the Asia Society and Museum, at Mindful Harlem, and as a Self-Awareness Training Adjunct Professor with the Teachers College at Columbia University’s Summer Principals Academy.

His work with educators, health care professionals, and scientists has allowed multi-cultural groups to efficiently build a shared ground of experiential knowledge, by introducing a fresh approach to Mindful Leadership through the study, practice, and implementation of skills such as metacognition and emotional intelligence, mindful communication, conflict resolution, self-regulation of affect, and stress reduction.

Often recognized as an inspirational teacher and mentor, Archimedes enjoys creating multimedia artwork as a visual artist in his spare time; he is fluent in three languages and has served as a keynote address and guest speaker for a number of organizations both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
