My name is Alicia Maxwell and I am so happy that you stopped by! My practice is named, Intentional Healing Psychotherapy, where I am committed to supporting individuals with finding their voice and rewriting their narrative. Navigating through life comes with various challenges, some that are self-inflicted and others that are out of our control and my hope is to be a witness as you find the tools needed to write your new narrative.
Over the last 7 years I have worked with youth and adults to overcome addiction, supported with navigating intergenerational trauma and provided grief education in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am motivated to increasing awareness and destigmatizing what therapy means in diverse communities.
I specialize in creating a safe space for my clients to process difficult emotions; especially ones of experiences that are chaotic and challenging to their inner and outer world. I value transparency and see my role as that of a witness and guide as we create a space of validation, transparency, partnership and growth.
