I work specifically with helping church congregations and leadership teams navigate the fallout and loss from a pastor’s betrayal (thru infidelity, leadership abuse, or other disqualifying behaviors). The fractures created by a pastor’s betrayal run deep, infecting essentials of faith (can I trust any of this?), relationships (is everyone pretending?), trust in leadership (if he was lying, is everyone else?), and can set people adrift. A large part of the the way forward is learning to deal effectively with grief and loss.
