Individual and family peer to peer grief support guidance, that is provided during the grieving process through compassionate care, grief education, identifying personal and spiritual strengths while also developing coping and self-care techniques to seek hope.
As a social worker for 25 years, I’ve had a passion to care for those with a terminal illness in their home as well as facility settings. The past 13 years has been directly working with hospice patients as a liaison, social worker and bereavement counselor. I have been blessed to be a part of the end of life journey for many patients; provided the patient and family members with anticipatory grief support, and then the honor of being at bedside as they passed away.
I also have experience working with and supporting patients who choose Our Care Our Choice (OCOC) Medical Aid In Dying (MAID) process; providing the patient and their family members and anticipatory grief support prior to ingestion, and then follow up grief support provided to the family.
