Certified Grief Educator, 2022 Summer Cohort – A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief. Certified Grief Educators complete a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. They bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief. Individual and family counseling services provided.
SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator – Provides tools to promote healthy relationships in work as a SYMBIS assessment facilitator offering pre-marital, marriage, and relationship counseling to couples. Stresses awareness, acceptance, communication, and intentionality.
In my work with couples and families, I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and use Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work. In addition, I am a Gottman Bringing Baby Home Educator. “Bringing Baby Home parents workshops help parents strengthen their friendship, increase intimacy, and regulate conflict—thereby improving their well-being and that of their child(ren).”
Certificate in Play Therapy – Training in the use of play to provide therapeutic counseling services when talk therapy is not always the answer. Play is the language of children and they learn, express themselves, and heal through this powerful medium. In addition, play and expressive arts are powerful tools in working with individuals in the areas of self-awareness, self-acceptance, trauma, attachment, social/emotional regulation, and relationships.
