All of my work is based in attachment theory, which is founded on the idea that we have been programmed by evolution to single out certain individuals in our lives and make them precious to us. Research on adult attachment is guided by the assumption that the same motivational system that gives rise to the close emotional bond between parents and their children is responsible for the bond that develops between adults in emotionally intimate relationships.
Here are the Services Provided:
Eating Disorders and Healthy Eating for those who struggle with anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating, or who engage in unhealthy and/or compulsive eating habits.
Trauma Recovery – for those who have survived, or are surviving, abuse, domestic violence, or other traumatic event(s).
Depression and Anxiety – for those who feel anxious in social situations or who are struggling with feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness, or who are having difficulty concentrating, working/studying, or making decisions.
Relationship Issues – Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy for those who are in an intimate relationship and are experiencing difficulty communicating, going through the divorce process, or who want to make your relationship as strong as it can be.
Adolescent Issues – for adolescents who are struggling with their emotions, friendships or other relationships, self harm or suicidal thoughts, behavioral problems, or the process of becoming a successful adult.
Grief and Loss – for those who have lost a loved one or are using hospice services.
Marriage Friendly EFT – I am currently obtaining advanced certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy.
