* 1:1 online grief support based in trust and genuine connection
When I was experiencing loss & suffering I felt completely alone . Like no one could really understand. Like a burden . As if it was never getting better and I was failing and falling behind everyone else. like why can’t I crawl out of this ?
The support I offer is based on what I needed most. A safe space to explore my losses, with someone who ‘got it’ , and who could be in the mud’ with me without offering insincere “I’m sorry’s” , advice , or promises of healing/ getting past it.
It is my absolute privilege to offer a safe space with compassionate support to people navigating grief or loss . My approach is based on genuine curiosity about your loss, trust, and connection. You can expect to build up your capacity to carry your grief – instead of leaving it behind . To explore how to navigate life as a new normal instead of trying to return to who you were before your loss . To be with your grief , without letting it consume you .
I work with all forms of grief including non-death grief. My areas of strength are in suicide loss, death of a partner, grief related to SA/ crime or violence, substance use related grief, chronic illness or disability related grief , and identity loss / transition grief . I am always honest and upfront that I have never been a bereaved parent but feel these have been cases and people I connect with so very strongly. Whatever your loss, it’s unique to you – no one else can ever experience it the same way you do . But I would love the honour of walking your journey beside you – you don’t ever have to walk alone .
****
I am a strong advocate for dying with dignity , women’s rights, disability rights and an ally to the queer community . I am fiercely protective of the most vulnerable in our society and also accept low income clients on a sliding scale system . I volunteer in the community, am a defender of public grieving , and believe that connection & building capacity is the only thing that truly alleviates the pain of loss .
