Offering #1: Let’s Talk about Grief: Rewriting Our Stories

This 30-minute seminar (offered in-person and virtually) offers a gentle introduction to understanding grief. Designed for those who may feel unsure or uncomfortable with their emotions, it’s perfect if you’re just beginning your journey or seeking clarity about what you’re experiencing. 

In this session, we’ll explore the importance of “witnessing” grief—both our own and that of others. The simple act of having someone recognize your pain can make you feel safe, seen, and validated. We’ll also discuss the distinction between sympathy and empathy, and reflect on words or phrases you’ve encountered during your grief that left you feeling isolated or misunderstood.

This seminar is designed to help you start exploring your grief in a compassionate and supportive environment, giving you the tools to begin rewriting your own story with understanding and acceptance.

Offering #2: Embracing the Waves: A Journey through Grief

This 90-minute, in-person workshop is designed for those who have already begun their grief journey but seek deeper understanding and tools for navigating the complexities that come with it. 

Together, we’ll explore the different forms of grief and the essential needs of those who are grieving, debunking common myths about grief, timelines, and healing that can often cause confusion or slow progress. 

This workshop also introduces practical tools and strategies for managing grief using a holistic approach that integrates the mind, body, and spirit. You’ll leave with techniques that support your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being as you continue on your journey of healing.

Offering #3: Feel It to Heal It

This six-week online group program is crafted for those who are ready to engage in deeper emotional work on their grief journey. Designed for the advanced griever who seeks meaningful connection and is prepared to explore difficult emotions to begin true healing, this program centers on the principle that “you can’t heal what you don’t feel.”

The curriculum is built around the six essential needs of the grieving, with each week focusing on a different topic. The program includes live virtual sessions, guided group discussions, opportunities for individual reflection, and practical tools to help you navigate your grief. Participants will benefit from the supportive group environment while also doing the personal work necessary to move forward in their healing.

Offering #4: Personalized Grief Support: One-on-One Sessions

My personalized one-on-one guided grief sessions offer a compassionate and tailored approach to navigating your unique grief journey.  These sessions are specifically designed for those seeking individual attention, offering a safe and supportive space to explore your emotions and navigate the complexities of your grief journey. Whether you’re seeking to understand your grief, process complex emotions, or find a path forward, these sessions are designed to meet you where you are and support your healing every step of the way.

My name is Kathi Sullivan, and I am a Mom of three children.  My son Zack (36) and Logan (27) are living and my daughter Taylor passed away from underage drinking in 2008 at the age of 17.  Tay is what brings me to this world that I never thought I would know.  A world that I wasn’t able to choose, yet one that I am learning to live fully every day in for the last 16 years.   With the experiences of my losses, including my Mom passing three months after my daughter, also came rewards of learning that I am not alone in grief.   With those life experiences, I am now able to offer peer to peer support for grief and loss.  I am always available for a conversation or even a personal meeting if you are local to the North Attleboro area.

I offer services in a zoom group setting that I facilitate for Mom’s who have lost a child by any circumstance whether it is a pregnancy loss, stillborn, illnesses, substance use disorder, tragic events, suicide or accidents.  As Moms, we know the loss is the loss, it doesn’t matter how it came to be.  We meet every Tuesday night (EST) at 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  You will be welcomed with open arms from all of our Moms in our group.  If you feel you can’t sign in because you won’t be able to talk or share…don’t worry.  You can keep your video off if needed and just listen and get what you need from the group.  This grief journey is yours to learn how to navigate, so remember to give yourself grace when needed.  Even just signing in a step in learning how to keep moving forward.  You can find the link to the Tuesday night meeting on my website, http://www.sullivansmessage.com in the calendar at the bottom of the first page.

I also offer a support group via zoom every 3rd Sunday of the month, via zoom, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for parents who have lost a child due to a substance use cause.  I am affiliated with the group The Sun Will Rise for this meeting.  You can register at thesunwiserise.org to receive the link online to the meeting and also receive support through their incredible organization.

I also offer an IN PERSON MEETING every 1st Sunday of the month at my resource center, Sullivan’s Message, located at 218 Park Street, North Attleboro, MA from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for parents who have lost a child by any circumstance.
