I have helped many hurting individuals and couples work through very difficult life experiences, including grief and loss. Grief and loss is not limited to the loss of a loved one. You can also find yourself grieving the loss of a relationship, pet, employment, lifestyle or the role you have had or wanted, such as being a parent. Most people do not feel comfortable turning towards friends or family for help to get through grieving. Especially when grieving lasts longer then you think it should or feel comfortable with.
In counseling, you will have a safe and confidential environment to work through difficult thoughts, feelings and ideas that are related to your loss. Here, you will be able to talk about your loss and learn how to move forward in your life with more comfort.
I am passionate in working out life’s challenges with you and teach you new ways to reduce:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship Conflict
- Shame and Guilt
- Hopelessness
- Regret
Loss is very personal, and my clinical interventions will also be personalized to meet your needs. I do not use a one size fits all approach. What I incorporate in our sessions will include: compassion, understanding, confidentiality and a safe space to talk about your loss.
Those I have worked with leave feeling calmer, happier and more satisfied with themselves, their relationships and life. Being free from hopelessness, depression and anxiety is possible.
Those who are grieving learn effective coping skills necessary to move through the pain of loss. Meaning and healing are the goals in counseling. People I have worked with through grief counseling, share their stories of love and loss, and learn how to put back the necessary pieces to move towards enjoying their life again.
