Geri A. Condon has been a fully licensed Counselor for over 25 years, working with families, couples and individuals. She is an expert on helping people resolve relationship issues, grief, depression and anxiety. Geri’s life experience has also given her a unique focus on suicidal issues.
She attended Northern Illinois University, achieving a Master of Science degree in Applied Family and Child studies with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She graduated in 1991 Magna Cum Laude. She was awarded membership into Kappa Omicron Nu, an honor society based on distinction conferred by a university upon a student for eminence in scholarship; credit or reputation that is becoming or worthy; high-minded character or principles sense of one’s obligations.
After successfully completing the required supervision and testing, Geri achieved the honor of becoming a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in 1993.
In 2018, she was named McHenry County Woman of Distinction. In 2019, she was honored as Parade Marshal in the McHenry Fiesta Days Parade. Geri is currently a member of the McHenry County Suicide Prevention Task Force. She is one of the county’s QPR presenters on suicide prevention.
Capture Your Path Counseling, Geri’s private practice opened in 2012. In addition to her practice, she has published a book on suicide and speaks about various mental health topics.
