Clara Magallanes is a Certified Grief Educator and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. She works with children, pre-teens, teens, adults, seniors, families, couples & groups. Counseling services are provided in person or online, in English & in Spanish. She works with clients of all ages & backgrounds, incorporating best psychotherapy practices through a holistic approach, providing high quality and personalized care in a safe and positive environment, improving client’s mental health & well being.
Clara is a compassionate Certified Grief Educator, who experienced grief herself since her teenage years. She knows how deep the feelings from grief can be for us and how difficult the journey can be. Clara knows first hand how our grief experience can change our life and our world, how sometimes we try to be strong and continue to keep our life together even through our pain, and she also knows that even through the difficult grief journey can be long, healing comes…

Clara is also a CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional) and an EMDR Trained therapist who works with clients who experience trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. Clara is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, utilizing this method to help individuals and groups to improve physical, psychological, and spiritual ailments.

Clara has an ample professional background and educational experience in healthcare and education, having worked with children, parents and families for over 19 years. In addition to being a psychotherapist, Clara is a Master in Educational Administration and is also a certified educator in Special Education, Technology Applications and Bilingual Education, as well as being a Certified Principal in the State of Texas. Furthermore, Clara is also a medical doctor in Mexico. As an international medical graduate who practiced medicine in Mexico, she is also an international Master of Science in Occupational Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
