I am a Certified Grief Educator with a Masters in Psychology, and the founder of The Birdie Foundation – but more than that, I am a widow and mother of two young children. I am also an Independent Life Insurance Broker.
Before this chapter of my life, I enjoyed teaching preschool, being a homemaker, and was actively involved in my church community, where I also served as the leader of a Mommies’ Ministry. God, my husband, and my children were my absolute everything.
After losing my husband to suicide, my world was shattered and radically transformed. I know firsthand the pain, confusion, isolation, and even betrayal that can come with grief, especially when you are trying to hold everything together for your kids.
I now offer one-on-one online support to others walking a similar path, nothing rigid, just peer-to-peer support. My approach is to provide a safe and supportive space – to walk alongside you with understanding and hope.I offer a free 15-minute chat (via Zoom) to see if I am the right fit for your journey. (If you’re not comfortable with video, we can turn that off too).
