Professional Certifications and Licenses
Bengü Aksekili completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Koç University. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at the Koç Cognition Lab and completed internships at various institutions. Following graduation, she began working at Acıbadem Hospital, where she had previously interned, and served as a psycho-oncologist.
She completed her master’s degree in Applied Psychology at Istanbul Ticaret University, with a thesis titled “The Relationship Between Traditional and Modern Behaviors in Marriage and Happiness.” In the same year, she also completed the Family Counseling Certificate Program at Istanbul University.
After leaving her position at Acıbadem Hospital, she continued her clinical work at a private clinic in Bakırköy, Turkey, while simultaneously working as a school psychologist at Bilfen Schools. During this period, she also served as a visiting lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University, Arel University, and Biruni University.
In 2019, she founded Mozaik Family and Psychological Counseling Center, where she continues her professional work.
Since her undergraduate education, Bengü Aksekili has pursued extensive professional training to deepen her clinical expertise, including Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, Art Therapy, and Advanced Grief Counseling. She works with adults, children, and adolescents, integrating these approaches into her clinical practice.
She is also the author of “Kayıptan Sonra Hayata Uyum” (Adapting to Life After Loss), published in 2025.
Bengü Aksekili has successfully completed the David Kessler Grief Educator Program and incorporates this training into her individual, group, and community-based grief work, with a focus on creating safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive spaces for grief.

I offer grief-focused support for individuals and groups, both in-person in Turkey and online.
My services include:

• Psychoeducational workshops on grief and loss
• Support for traumatic loss, illness-related loss, and collective grief
• Guidance around continuing bonds and meaning-making after loss
I work both in-person and online, creating safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental spaces where grief is not rushed or pathologized. My work supports adults, children, adolescents, and communities navigating different types of loss, while honoring cultural context and individual experience.
