How I can help
I appreciate how much courage it can take to make contact & wish to reassure you that I offer a safe space where you will feel supported, listened to, treated with respect, empathy & without judgement. and where you will be encouraged to feel safe enough to talk about things which can be sometimes difficult to put into words and make you feel vulnerable or sad. You will not be pressured to talk about anything that you do not feel ready or willing to talk about and we will work at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
Over the years I have observed how anybody can be affected by traumatic life changing events, Often we do not seek help until reaching a point where difficulties become so overwhelming we recognise that something needs to change You may have a specific problem for which you are seeking help, or you may feel troubled but are not sure why.
I have a special interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life and relationship transitions (eg divorce, redundancy, bereavement) To gain specialist experience I volunteered with a Bereavement Support Team. I also specialise in working with eating disorders/disordered eating and volunteered as counsellor with an eating disorders charity.
Online therapy and clinic locations
I offer online and telephone counselling to clients based anywhere in the UK and face to face appointments from discreet therapy rooms in Buckland St Mary on the Blackdown Hills, (near A303 and convenient for Chard and Ilminster and from Wellington, Somerset (convenient for Taunton and the M5 motorway).
I work with adults over the age of 18 either on a long-term or short-term basis according to your individual needs.
