Grief touches every part of our lives-our emotions, our relationships, and even our sense of identity. Whether you are navigating the loss of a loved one, a life transition, or another form of deep personal loss, you don’t have to go through it alone.

I offer compassionate, individualized grief counseling in a supportive, safe, and non-judgmental space. My approach is centered in meeting you where you are in your process. There is no right way or timeline for grief. Together we work to honor your experience while helping you find ways to cope, heal, and move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.

I lead grief support groups in Northern California and also work with people one-on-one.

Ten years ago, I suffered the loss of a husband to Alzheimer’s Disease. I was his primary caregiver and have a special affinity with those who suffer the many ambiguous losses accompanying a diagnosis of dementia.

After my husband’s death, I re-assessed my life and my priorities. I left my law career and trained as a spiritual director. For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of accompanying others on their unique spiritual journeys, most often meeting them once a month for an hour. It was my grief that led me to enter spiritual direction and I find that path to making meaning is not uncommon.

I live in California but my clients live all over the country, so I use Zoom.
