How to Find the Right Grief Certified Support
We suggest you start with a phone call. Let them know you found them through grief.com.
Ask them about their style.
Tell them briefly about you.
They may or you may ask to start with an initial meeting. In person is the best way to assess if you are a match.
Make sure you discuss fees, before you begin, so there is clarity.

I offer peer to peer support to those traversing the difficult terrain of grief. I have personal experience with traumatic loss, sudden loss, loss to homicide, suicide, addiction, child loss and pet loss. I also work in hospice and am passionate about end-of-life support for those who are dying as well as those who love them. It is my intention to meet people right where they are and to walk with them, bearing witness to their process and hold space for all that it encompasses.
I meet with clients via zoom, one on one, while providing a safe place to both guide and share.

I offer peer to peer support either in person or virtual, individuals or group. Specializing in death of a child, death by gun violence, death by homicide. Loss of pet, siblings, mother, father, spouse, friend.
As a mother of a murdered daughter, I have found that only those who have walked the painful path of grief could fully understand my pain. My journey has taken me through countless books, therapists, groups, and finally to David Kessler’s Certified Grief Educator program. It was through his program that I found the tools not only to help myself but others.
It is my honor to be able to witness your grief, help you integrate this loss into your life and assist you to live and love fully. Grieving is too profound to do alone. With understanding and compassion, I can walk beside you down the road towards mending your broken heart.

I am the editor of “Voices of the Grieving Heart,” an anthology of poetry, short essays, and artwork contributed by 83 people whose loved ones died. You can order the book from your favorite bookstore, or you can buy it from Amazon.
Poetry has a unique ability, even more than journaling, to help the bereaved feel witnessed. So often, we who are grieving the death of a loved one lack the words to describe what we are feeling and experiencing. In reading poetry by others, we can find ourselves in others’ experience. Their words give voice to our pain when we are unable to find our own words.
Writing poetry–perhaps with support at first– allows us to create a mirror on the page in which we can more clearly see ourselves and clarify what we are feeling.
I offer two different workshops:
1. Educate professionals who work with the grieving on how to integrate the use of poetry into their practice.
2. Work directly with a group of individuals, providing exercises and facilitation t help them begin the practice of writing poetry to express themselves without the strictures of normal writing or even journaling.

I remember how invaluable it was to connect with fellow bereaved parents when my 19yr old daughter Shuggie passed in July 2020. These connections are what continue to propagate me through my loss and help me find some purpose in my life holding Shuggie in my heart. I am a member of David Kessler’s Evolved hearts and completed the grief educator certification course receiving my certificate on what would have been Shuggie’s 21st birthday 1st Nov 2021.
This course was a space for me to share my grief and learn how to integrate it within my new life. The support I received was so meaningful and made me feel like I belong.
I would now like to volunteer my experience and be a peer support to fellow bereaved parents out there.
Please email me to connect. I would be happy to offer virtual meetings during the weekends.
