I’m Kristen Norman and I am a Grief Educator. A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.

We live in a grief illiterate society. Few people recognize the full impact of grief in our lives or that grief is a continued journey, not something that expires after 6 months or a year.

Through my own experience with grief, I felt the desire to “bring grief out of the closet” and help normalize grieving. To reach that goal, I became a Certified Grief Educator and one of the most important things I learned in that training is that grief needs to be witnessed.

My job as a Grief Educator is to witness your grief and help you navigate your grief journey.

I offer peer to peer support, grief group facilitation and presentations on grief.

I offer one-on-one support over phone or video calls.

I facilitate and founded the in-person, nature-based grief support group called Red Pine Grief.

I am a Certified Grief Educator and offer services to widows as well as children who have lost a parent. I can relate to widows as I lost my husband to a massive heart attack on my birthday in 2019. My children lost their father, and I have learned so much through them as well. I am also a licensed Special Education teacher assisting students with not only schooling, but how to overcome hardship. If you are looking for a non-judgmental ear, I am here for you. Maggie works with groups and individuals who want to intentionally grieve a loss of a loved one, including a pet. Maggie offers educational classes on a 32 acre hobby farm with chickens, cattle and horses. If you believe being nature has healing powers on its own, this is the right fit for you. Maggie will taylor the sessions to your individual needs and losses. Maggie’s goal is to help you move beyond surviving a loss, into thriving and participating full in your life. Maggie’s journey beyond the pain of loss has been a life long one. She had a significant amount of loss including influential people and loved pets. The most traumatic death was of her beloved big bother and only sibling when he died by suicide in 2012.

She has found many different modalities to help on her lifelong healing journey and she would like to share some of them with you.
