Kristen brings a warm, compassionate and caring energy to her clients. She specializes in improving self-worth, helping couples and families resolve conflicts and develop powerful communication skills, effective parenting strategies, making life transitions, grief and loss, reducing anxiety and working through trauma. Most importantly, she instills hope, helps you create possibilities and develop a sense of inner peace.
Her counseling philosophy is to listen without judgment and try to understand who you are, walk along side you with compassion, and provide guidance and authentic feedback by coaching you through the process to create solutions. She works to strengthen and improve relationships. She believes everyone wants to feel loved, worthy, connected, important and valued and that is where you find healing and freedom.
Kristen earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, graduating with honors from Indiana Wesleyan and received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Butler University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), a member of the American Association of Family and Marriage Therapy (AAMFT), American Counseling Association (ACA) and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and a trained EMDR clinician. She is also a certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF).
Prior to entering the counseling field, Kristen was an executive at a Fortune 500 company. She is passionate about helping her clients reach their goals and presenting workshops on a variety of topics. Kristen loves owning Pathways to Healing Counseling and mentoring other counselors and watching them grow.
