Counselling is about achieving lasting change that improves your quality of life now and in the future. Grief has a tremendous impact on our lives that can feel all consuming. My aim is to support you on your journey to reconnecting with yourself through the pain of loss.
One of my areas of focus is looking at how nutrition affects brain health, and how to reconstruct neural pathways disrupted by stress and trauma. Understanding how food, stress, and life events affect our physiology and mental functioning is foundational to creating a treatment strategy that focuses on each person’s unique needs and offers a long-term solution. I apply evidenced-based treatments with a focus on the latest research in Nutritional Psychology, Neuroscience, Integrative Health, and Psychology.
I have training in a variety of different modalities that include a wide range of psychological therapies and neuro-physiological interventions. However, my approach is also based on my personal experiences of trauma, loss, and challenging life events. I have experienced counsellors that have changed my life and others that have left me feeling stuck. It is this point of reference that guides my treatment approach. My focus is to help you achieve change. Life challenges are outside of our control, how we handle them is within our control. Mental wellbeing is not just about overcoming crisis, it is foundational to overall health and fulfilment. I would be honored to work with you.
