I offer support to those dealing with death of a loved one and other personal losses including loss of a pet, loss of identity, youth innocence/trauma, trust, safety, and health changes. Major transition issues that may cause a sense of loss include divorce/estrangement, a career shift, retirement, and relocation.

I use a cognitive behavioral approach to work with individuals who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, codependency, relationship and parenting issues as well as those who experience microaggressions and racism.

Over the years, I have helped people in their grief. Even though my specialty has been in anxiety, panic, and stressful life changes, clients have come in to see me with grief issues. After all, grief descends upon all of us, at one time or another in our lives.

Loss in an avoidable part of human experience. We get attached to people, animals, nature, objects, places, memories, etc. And nothing stays the same. We grieve those losses differently. Sometimes people believe that should only have feelings of sadness when they experience a loss. Or maybe they feel guilty if they experience anger, resentment, or relief.  There are no “shoulds” in grieving.
