I employ a holistic, integrative, spiritually supportive approach where clients are met with unconditional positive regard, focused listening, and deep empathy. In my trauma-informed and grief-informed practice, clients experience a safe space from which to move forward at their pace. I foster healing and growth experiences that honor and serve each unique grief journey.

In November 2022, I tragically lost my sweet son, Alex, at the age of 33 to suicide. The weight of grief pulled me back into a dark spiral of depression and hopelessness, exacerbated by the social stigma surrounding mental illness-related deaths. I now specialize in supporting bereaved parents, suicide loss survivors, and parents grieving the loss of an adult child (and grandchildren) to estrangement.

Daniel Ajema is a personal injury and wrongful death attorney based in Seattle and Phoenix. In addition to his legal practice, he volunteers in the community to support individuals and families navigating grief and loss, with a particular focus on the Ethiopian American communities in both cities.

Daniel provides non-clinical, empathetic grief support, helping individuals process loss through one-on-one peer companionship, structured support groups, and educational workshops. His approach emphasizes active listening, coping strategies, and practical tools for emotional healing, creating safe spaces where people can reflect, share, and rebuild resilience.

His work bridges advocacy, cultural understanding, and compassion—supporting people not only through legal challenges, but through some of life’s most difficult transitions.

I am a grief-educated certified life coach who helps individuals and families that are working through a difficult transition or loss, particularly where diversity is part of the picture. I am available in-person in Nevada County, California, as well as by Zoom.
