I am a Certified Grief Educator with a Masters in Psychology, and the founder of The Birdie Foundation – but more than that, I am a widow and mother of two young children. I am also an Independent Life Insurance Broker.

Before this chapter of my life, I enjoyed teaching preschool, being a homemaker, and was actively involved in my church community, where I also served as the leader of a Mommies’ Ministry. God, my husband, and my children were my absolute everything.

After losing my husband to suicide, my world was shattered and radically transformed. I know firsthand the pain, confusion, isolation, and even betrayal that can come with grief, especially when you are trying to hold everything together for your kids.

I now offer one-on-one online support to others walking a similar path, nothing rigid, just peer-to-peer support. My approach is to provide a safe and supportive space – to walk alongside you with understanding and hope.I offer a free 15-minute chat (via Zoom) to see if I am the right fit for your journey. As a peer to peer grief educator, I have personal experience with loss as a bereaved mother as well as someone who has had to grieve the deaths of parents and friends. As a peer to peer grief educator, my goal is to be present and witness your grief from a place of deep understanding and compassion.

I can assist with most any kind of loss, but my personal experience includes:

*Suicide                                   *Unexpected deaths

*Cancer/hospice                  *Traumatic deaths

Consultation– 20 minutes to get to know one another, determine if I’m a good fit for you.

Initial Intake– 45 minutes to learn about your loss

Returning Sessions– 1 hour sessions to be present and witness your grief with compassion.
