I provide grief coaching and education to support individuals as they navigate loss and life transitions. My approach blends compassionate guidance, practical tools, and healing practices—including movement, creativity, and connection to nature.

As the owner of Hartzell House Bed & Breakfast and Retreat Venue, I also offer a welcoming space where individuals and groups can gather to connect, restore, and create lasting memories. Whether through one-on-one coaching, group programs, or retreat experiences, I hold space for healing, growth, and the reminder that no one has to walk through grief alone.

Elana is one of a handful of Certified Financial Therapist™s in the US who solely focuses on financial therapy and coaching and also has a Certificate in Financial Planning®. She is also a Certified Grief Educator.

As a financial therapist, Elana helps clients with the emotional side of money as it relates to over or under-spending, clarity on financial goals, estate planning, inheriting money, being comfortable looking at and addressing their financial situation. As a result, her clients are able to take effective actions to achieve their financial goals and go from feeling avoidant to empowered about their finances.

Many of her clients also suffer from grief, which can have unique and profound effects on their feelings of identity, self-worth, and their relationship with money. Often people dealing with grief are in new situations where they must confront money matters directly, sometimes due to the loss of financial resources, sometimes related to inheritance, or other changes which can feel overwhelming and compound feelings of grief. Elana helps clients who are stuck in grief so they can both deal with money in a positive way and deal with their grief.

I’m here to walk alongside you and assist you in navigating through the feelings and emotions that accompany us in our grief. Though we never “get over” our grief, we can move forward and find gratitude in our new normal. Together, as we walk the winding trail, insight and meaning shall evolve. My goal is to help you find peace and joy once again, and in time grieve with more love than pain.
