Elana is one of a handful of Certified Financial Therapist™s in the US who solely focuses on financial therapy and coaching and also has a Certificate in Financial Planning®. She is also a Certified Grief Educator.

As a financial therapist, Elana helps clients with the emotional side of money as it relates to over or under-spending, clarity on financial goals, estate planning, inheriting money, being comfortable looking at and addressing their financial situation. As a result, her clients are able to take effective actions to achieve their financial goals and go from feeling avoidant to empowered about their finances.

Many of her clients also suffer from grief, which can have unique and profound effects on their feelings of identity, self-worth, and their relationship with money. Often people dealing with grief are in new situations where they must confront money matters directly, sometimes due to the loss of financial resources, sometimes related to inheritance, or other changes which can feel overwhelming and compound feelings of grief. Elana helps clients who are stuck in grief so they can both deal with money in a positive way and deal with their grief.

As a bereaved mother myself, I am devoted to help others navigate their unique story of their own broken hearts and the devastating loss of the unimaginable. I offer myself as a compassionate companion, to journey with you through grief, loss, pain, and suffering. It is my desire as a Grief Coach, that we would find ways to live with more love than pain in honor of those we have lost.

It is an honor and privilege to be invited to walk along side my clients for this phase of their grief loss journey. I have been a grief loss practitioner for over 20 years.

I work with the newly bereaved as well as those who are further along on their journey where the rumblings of change can be overwhelming.

No matter where you are on your journey, navigating change is the work that grief drops at your door.

I employ a holistic, integrative, spiritually supportive approach where clients are met with unconditional positive regard, focused listening, and deep empathy. In my trauma-informed and grief-informed practice, clients experience a safe space from which to move forward at their pace. I foster healing and growth experiences that honor and serve each unique grief journey.

In November 2022, I tragically lost my sweet son, Alex, at the age of 33 to suicide. The weight of grief pulled me back into a dark spiral of depression and hopelessness, exacerbated by the social stigma surrounding mental illness-related deaths. I now specialize in supporting bereaved parents, suicide loss survivors, and parents grieving the loss of an adult child (and grandchildren) to estrangement.
