Background:

• Became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2015 after retiring from a 28-year career as an educator, K through university, in the California public schools and CSU system, inspired by the needs of former students with mental health issues.
• Became a certified grief educator after being part of David Kessler’s Tender Hearts group following the loss by suicide of my younger daughter in 2021.
• Experienced serving clients and families with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction.
• In addition to having a private practice I work two days a week providing psychiatric evaluations and therapeutic support for patients in crisis in a Hospital Emergency Room.

I provide individual and couple’s grief therapy, via video telehealth sessions in Colorado and Virginia. I also offer a rental system for neurofeedback, which allows clients to engage with this benefit from the comfort of their home. Some clients who are suffering from headaches, sleep disturbances, short term memory loss, and other grief symptoms benefit from neurofeedback and it can be supportive if you’re not feeling ready to verbally process yet.

Liz Meyer, at Blended Pathways Therapy, PLLC, offers evidenced-based modalities of therapy to meet your needs and support your journey as you heal from grief and trauma related events. We will work together to explore options, and blend therapeutic solutions as needed, to support your navigation in seeking a clearer path for current obstacles you are facing.

I concentrate in serving older adults, adults who have a serious medical condition, family caregivers, and adults who are grieving.
