GRIEF CERTIFIED PEER-TO-PEER
How to Find the Right Grief Certified Support
We suggest you start with a phone call. Let them know you found them through grief.com.
Ask them about their style.
Tell them briefly about you.
They may or you may ask to start with an initial meeting. In person is the best way to assess if you are a match.
Make sure you discuss fees, before you begin, so there is clarity.

I am a Certified Grief Educator. In addition, in September 2021, I completed a one-day training on Grief of Overdose Addiction through the University of Utah’s School of Nursing Caring Connections program.
A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.
Certified Grief Educators completed a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. They bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief.

I teach Writing Through Grief, an expressive writing workshop. Since 2016, I’ve taught Writing Through Grief at various organizations including: The University of Utah’s Lifelong Learning and Osher Programs, Jewish Family Service of Utah, The Transplant Games of America, and Art Access. Currently, all classes are held via Zoom.
Writing can help guide us toward a deeper understanding of the pain and suffering of loss. Whatever the reason for grieving–death of a loved one, the pandemic, divorce, illness, job loss–this workshop is designed to provide a supportive environment for participants to explore and honor all feelings of grief. Writing prompts and short readings will offer new ways to express thoughts. Putting pen to paper gives us the opportunity to change perspective and transform suffering into healing. One optional goal of the class is to write a personal essay. All writing levels are welcome and no writing experience is necessary. Please keep in mind this is not group therapy.

Hello, I am a David Kessler Certified Grief Educator volunteer offering peer to peer support, either virtual or by phone. I have been a bereaved parent since 2008 when we lost our 18yr old son, a tragic, shattering loss we never thought could happen to us. Through my own personal experience, the multitude of grief books I have read, and my training as a grief educator I have a deeper understanding to help other parents navigate the path that is the heartbreak of child loss.
You can contact me through my email: gardenjoy3@yahoo.com. Please put “grief” in the subject line so I don’t miss you.

I offer an active listening service as a Grief Educator & Grief Movement Guide in person and online to professionals in health and death care, first responders, caregivers and to those having difficulty expressing grief of a loved and people experiencing a divorce and/or job loss. My work as a LivingEndDoula supports people needing assistance with funeral arrangements, resources, legacy projects, eulogies, memorial planning, and supporting executors decluttering and closing an estate – property and contents.
Grief Expression is a FREE event on the Southwestern Ontario Death Doula Network on MeetUp. Join me and others every Wednesday & Sunday 7 pm EST in a safe space for people to express grief, form connections with others, and discover meaning from loss. Kind donations emailed to travelcatscribe@gmail.com support my work with others in grief and the cost of Zoom & MeetUp spaces. Your support is much appreciated.
I am also a Kambo Practitioner. Kambo/Sapo is derived from the secretion from the skin of a phyllomedusa bicolor frog found in Peru. The powerful peptides contained in Kambo are bioactive, anti-microbial, anti-viral, and assists in addiction recovery and boosts the immune system. Kambo has been used by the Matse Indians for thousands of years as a natural medicine that detoxes the mind, body, and spirit.
But how can Kambo assist people in grief? Kambo unlocked and released the grief I held for my father after many years. And after working with clients, I’ve witnessed how kambo can transform people’s lives physically, spiritually and mentally. Alleviating emotional burdens allows one to be more at peace. Kambo is the trilogy of healing the mind, body and spirit. (kambophyllomedusa.ca)
